ireland came home to her dorm room with bruises all over her body after a loss the night before.

- a boy is an outsider in his community not many people talk to him and he's basically left alone when he's at school but that changes when a new girl moves into town. she's instantly alienated because of how she looks but it doesn't really bother her. she befriends the boy and he's happy to finally have a friend but she tells him a secret one day that might change everything. she's a vampire.
 
- a young man is diagnosed with an uncureable illness, he starts using drugs to deal with the pain that he only has a few more years to live, one day a coworker finds him almost overdosed in the bathroom, she keeps him from losing his job and tries to help him find a way to cope which is much less illegal.
